男孩和果仁--Boy and Nuts

A boy once found a jar full of nuts and raisins in his mother’s kitchen and he put his hand in to help himself to as many as he could hold. When he tried to take his hand out of the jar, however, he found that the opening was too narrow for his clenched fist to past through.

“What shall I do?” he wailed, “My hand will be stuck in this jar for ever.”

Just then his mother came in.

“Really,” she said, “there’s nothing to make such a fuss about. Try taking half as many as nuts and raisins as you have in your hand and you’ll find it will come out of the jar quite easily.”

一次，一个男孩在妈妈的厨房里发现了一个装着果仁和葡萄干的罐子。他伸进手去，用力的抓了一大把。可是，当他想把手伸出来时，才发现自己紧握的拳头无法出来。因为罐口太小了。

“我该怎么办啊？”他哭了起来，“我的手永远卡在这个罐子里，再也出不来了。”

正在这时，妈妈进来了。

“哦？”她说， “别慌，试着把手里的果仁和葡萄干放下一半，你会发现手很容易就出来了。”
